In the past 10 years she has been active in the advancement of new treatments for Multiple Sclerosis and related disease states. She has lectured throughout the United States and Canada to patients, doctors and pharmacists on issues of medical research and study application. She is the CEO and founder of two medical research companies.
Ms. DeLack’s passion for research was spurred by her need to find something to help herself, in that she was diagnosed with MS when she was 30 years of age. Mainstream medicine’s recognized treatments at the time of her diagnosis, proved to have no benefit for her condition. Elaine questioned the hypothesis that the immune system was attacking her myelin since stress worsened her symptoms and it was a well-known fact that stress suppresses the immune system. Ms. DeLack went back to school and completed a course on clinical research. She dissected her symptoms by working backwards looking for a common factor in the various cellular chemical pathways that could be implicated in the etiology of all of her symptoms. She found the common factor to be histamine, specifically histamine 2. Upon discovering this she experienced inner good chills and overtime learned to listen to these chills, as they became a spiritual guidance for her. It is by her learning to listen and follow these chills, which she believes to be guidance from her spiritual guides, she has developed effective treatments for MS, depression, bipolar disorder, refractory depression, and autism. She is currently working on a treatment for Alzheimer’s.
